A busy weekend of cross country action for GYDAC athletes.
On Sunday, several GYDAC youngsters travelled to the Ryston XC series at Shouldham Warren. Some great perfomances all round, Olivia won the under 9 girls race, Mia and Faye came home 1st and 2nd in the u11 girls race and Allyna finished 1st in the Under 13 girls. William had an excellent run in the under 13 boys, finishing 7th out of 14 boys, In the seniors race, Colleen Nicole Mukuya was the first female runner home to round off a very successful day for GYDAC. On Saturday, Daniel represented Norfolk in the Southern Inter Counties cross country at Horspath, Oxford. On a very testing muddy 5km course, Daniel finished a creditable 66th out of 81 finishers (6th Norfolk runner home out of the team of 8 runners) competing in his first year in the under 17 cross country age group against older athletes in a high standard field. Well done to everyone for their efforts this weekend! On a final note, entries are still open for the Norfolk County Championships at Thetford on Sunday January 5th 2020.
