U11 East Anglian League update

The final EAL and U/11 competition of the year didn’t disappoint. Yet again, there were multiple PB’s and high standards from our youngest athletes! Mia and Maizie continued to dominate in the 600m, with Tia and Maya charging round to new best times. Mia set a new club record of 1m 55.2s ending a great season, with Maizie just outside her PB in 1m 59.1s. Tia and Maya finished on a high in 2m 06.9s and 2m 12.2s respectively. Great effort by all girls!😃 In the LJ, Mia lead the field with a leap of 3.95m with Amy in 3rd place with 3.52m; Maizie in 4th with 3.44m and Maya in 6th place with 3.13m.Dave was a happy man as all 4 girls set new PB’s! Amy flew to a new PB of 12.0s in the 80m with Mia finishing in 2nd place in 12.2s. Maizie won her heat in 12.4s with Tia setting a new PB of 12.7s and Maya beaming in 3rd place with 13.2s! Finally in the shot, Amy and Tia rounded off the day with throws of 4.14m and 4.09m. Thank you to all the coaches, parents and officials for all your support and commitment this year - and a special thank you to all those who have competed in the U/11 squad this season. We have a great team spirit which will take us into next season!👍 Work hard and best wishes for 2020 - Olympic year!! Claire
